Triple-Certified Fabric Used in the Tioga Venture Duffel
The vinyl coated polyester used in the Tioga Ventura duffel is certified compliant with three safety standards: CPSIA, RoHS, and REACH.

CPSIA -- Refers to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), a US consumer law. CPSIA controls the amount of lead and phthalates allowed in materials that go into making children’s products. Testing and documentation requirements lead to certification of materials used to make apparel, home furnishings, bedding, educational materials, and sports equipment ranging from more gym mats to punching bags.
- REACH and RoHS -- These two European regulations also pertain to hazardous materials in products. REACH stands for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals, and RoHS stands for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances. REACH regulations restrict over 200 hazardous substances, whereas RoHS limits 10 specific chemicals such as lead and mercury to very low concentrations.
